Think Family Scrapbook Competition

Leicester Shire Promotions and East Midlands Tourism are working with schools and tourist information centres in the region to encourage children to visit local attractions and report back on their experiences. We want to know the good bits, the not so good bits and what children would do differently if they were in charge.

Two competitions will take place during the year - over the October 08 and February 09 half term holidays. Prizes will be awarded for the winning Scrapbooks.

Each child entering the competition will be given a ‘Think Family Scrapbook' to record their thoughts and ideas. There are versions for:

• 5-7 years
• 8-10 years
• 11-15 years (Think Family Blog)
• GCSE/BTEC Leisure and Tourism (Tourism Blog Book)

The findings of the research will be fed back to attractions to help in their future planning and developments.

The Scrapbooks and Blog Books can be downloaded using the links above and printed off whenever you visit an attraction. If you don't want to download them, from September you will be able to pick up printed versions from the Leicester Tourist Information Centre (TIC). Once they are filled in they can either be left at the attractions, dropped back in to the Leicester TIC or you can post them in to Elizabeth Furniss at Leicester Shire Promotions. There are no limits on the amount of books you send back to us, and the more information we get back the better.
