The market towns of Hinckley and Market Bosworth lie in the west of Leicestershire, surrounded by rolling countryside and many pretty villages. Centred on the Battle of Bosworth, which took place here in 1485, a visit boasts a wealth of fascinating possibilities. From watersport to motorsport, rare breeds to thoroughbreds, steam engines to canal barges and re-enacted battles to market stalls, there’s plenty to enjoy!
Places to visit include the Battle of Bosworth Visitor Centre , which celebrates the battle in which King Richard III lost his life and Twycross Zoo one of UK's leading wildlife attractions, home to over 1000 different species of animal.
